The UCI (Unión Ciclista Internacional) has announced today, after evaluating the participation request presented by Ángel Casero (Director of the VCV), that the Volta Ciclista a la Comunitat Valenciana Gran Premi Banc Sabadell will be included in the new category of «Pro Series”.

This decision confirms the steady growth of the Valencian round, which was included in the international calendar from 2016, after eight years of absence. The professionalism, good organizational level and the participation of the main professional cycling teams and riders have been fundamental aspects ​​to achieve this objective.

Being considered a “Pro Series” cycling race, the VCV will have more teams of the highest level and riders in its next edition.
