This Sunday event with a sporting and recreational-family character will be a unique opportunity to make women’s sport even more visible and to immortalize the moment by accompanying the VCV Women’s champion and the second and third classified on the podium. A photo that aims to be historic.
“It’s an idea that we started last year, the first time a sponsor gave a name to the women’s cycling event, VCV Féminas. For us the challenge ‘Yo sí que voy’ is a way to spread and support women’s cycling, in particular, but above all women’s sport in general,” highlights Silvia Tirado, Director of VCV Féminas.
“It has been seven years since this event was established with the aim of opening the way for new generations of girls and giving visibility to the many very good cyclists who make up the Valencian, national and international peloton. With support like this, and from all women athletes, we will be able to do better and better,” added Silvia Tirado.
The VCV Féminas ascends to ProSeries of the UCI
From the organization of the VCV, led by the former Champion of the Vuelta Ciclista a España, Angel Casero, invite all those athletes who join the challenge of February 9 to be presented with the badge of the team, federation, club or school that identifies the sport they practice, whatever it is.
In addition, the 7th VCV Féminas Gran Premio Tuawa is in luck, since this year it has been promoted to the UCI ProSeries category. The women’s race, which takes place in parallel to the last stage of the VCV, receives this way the recognition of the International Cycling Union after six editions of continuous growth.
