The organization of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and Tuawa call the Valencian society on Sunday April 6, coinciding with the International Day of Sport.
-
This is a 10 km sustainable cycling ride with a family-friendly character, with arrival and departure at the Exhibition Bridge in the Turia Gardens.

All participants who register will receive a free gift.

Both the VCV and Tuawa and Global Omnium, have chosen the International Day of Sport for the whole family to spend an enjoyable day, with the sport of cycling and sustainability as a flag. All this, in an incomparable setting as the green lung of the city of Valencia, the emblematic Turia riverbed. All participants who register will have a guaranteed gift.
Pedal for the Planet’ consists of a comfortable circular bike ride of only 10 kilometers, designed for the whole family to enjoy, in a circuit that goes from the Exhibition Bridge to reach the New Center Bridge, to return to the Monteolivete Bridge and from there, back to the Exhibition Bridge, where are the arches of the start and finish.
In this fun activity, as in previous editions, will take part professional cyclists as Angel Casero, champion of the Tour of Spain in 2001, the Valencian cyclist Marta Romeu and the Director of the VCV Féminas, Silvia Tirado, as well as athletes from other disciplines. All of them will add, with their example, to the commitment to environmental awareness and promotion of sport that Tuawa and Global Omnium have shown since the implementation of the filtering system in their sustainable water sources, eliminating the consumption of plastic bottled water.
Pedal for the Planet’ has been part of the VCV’s sustainability plan for three years, although it had to be suspended at the end of last year due to the Dana. It is a meeting for lovers of sport, sustainability and cycling. “This year, during the VCV 2025 we are riding again with a partner such as Tuawa by Global Omnium, thus reinforcing our strong commitment to the environment. It has been four years since we became one of the most sustainable cycling competitions in Spain, and that is precisely the message we are sending to society with this family event. People are increasingly committed to taking care of the planet,” said Ángel Casero, VCV General Director. Last year, this sustainable bike ride was attended by more than 300 participants.

Access to the itinerary is absolutely free and free of charge. Pedal for the Planet will start at the Exhibition Bridge, due to the ease of access by public transport -since the metro stop is located in that space-, its centrality and the wide spaces. In order to respect all users of the riverbed, the bike lane will be used in single file. The challenge is to lengthen the peloton as much as possible so that a large blue stream of cyclists of all ages committed to responsible water consumption and the reduction of the carbon footprint and water footprint can be seen.
To improve the organization and reward those who participate, the organization of Pedal for the Planet has opened a website (https://tuawa.es/pedalea-por-el-planeta-2-0/) so that all those who register will have a guaranteed gift: a cyclist’s jerry can that can be filled on site with sustainable filtered water.
