The Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana has received confirmation from the Belgian cyclist with his new team, Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe. Undoubtedly, the opportunity to test new equipment in a race and face rivals under the pressure of competition attracts the participation of the best specialists.
Remco Evenepoel participated in the VCV in the 2022 edition and wore the yellow jersey as the overall leader. At that time, his team was Quick-Step, although he ultimately finished second in the race.
The time trial stage of the VCV will take place on the second day and will be between 15 and 20 kilometers long. VCV sporting director Paco Benítez says that “the stage will be technical, with a short climb of about 3 kilometers, and will allow the riders to make a difference.”
