VCV and Gobik renew their partnership for the 75th edition of the race
The sportswear brand from Yecla will celebrate nine years as technical sponsor of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana since the former cyclist Ángel Casero took over the organization of the event in 2016.
The VCV – Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and Gobik will continue pedaling together. The Valencian round and the sportswear brand from Yecla, Murcia, have renewed their collaboration agreement, so Gobik will continue designing the jerseys that the leaders will wear every day on the podium and on the roads of our ‘terreta’. With this agreement, it will be nine editions that the VCV and Gobik go hand in hand, being 2024 a very special occasion as the race celebrates its 75th anniversary.
The agreement was ratified last Tuesday, September 5th at Gobik’s headquarters in Yecla by the director of the VCV – Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, Ángel Casero, and the co-founders and CEOs of Gobik José Ramón Ortín and Alberto García. VCV will have one more edition with exclusive personalized designs for the leaders of the different classifications of the race. These jerseys have been worn over the last eight editions by cyclists such as Tadej Pogacar, Remco Evenepoel or Alejandro Valverde, among others.
The sportswear brand Gobik was born in Yecla, Murcia, in 2010, and quickly specialized in the custom design of cycling jerseys as a method to enter the Spanish and European market. By 2016, being already a consolidated brand, Gobik presented its first collection of customized clothing for online sale. In addition, it entered the world of sports sponsorship with a clear target, the VCV – Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. A relationship that today remains stronger than ever.
As the date of the 75th edition of the VCV – Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana approaches, the exclusive designs of the leaders of the 75th VCV will be unveiled, a special edition that will honor the history of the oldest sporting event of all those held in the Comunitat Valenciana.
