VCV presents its official 75th anniversary jerseys
Designed by the sportswear firm Gobik, the jerseys worn by the leaders of each classification of the next 75 VCV are inspired by the movement of the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, with nods to emblematic buildings of the Comunitat Valenciana.
Valencia. December 22nd, 2023. The VCV Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana has unveiled the official jerseys that will be worn by the leaders of each classification in the next edition of the race, which will be held from January 31st to February 4th, 2024. For the ninth consecutive year, the Yecla-based sports firm Gobik is in charge of designing and making these jerseys, which in just over a month will travel the roads of the three provinces of the Comunitat Valenciana.
The VCV celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2024, and for this reason it wanted to have a jersey with a special theme. A design inspired by the movement of the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, which bathes the coast of the Comunitat Valenciana and which has such an influence on the character and personality of its people. In addition, the jerseys include the image of this special 75th VCV – Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, as well as the presence of some of the most emblematic buildings of the Comunitat Valenciana.
The official jerseys of the 75th VCV were presented to the public at the recent official presentation of the race, held in the Veles e Vents building in Valencia. In total, four jerseys will be worn by the cyclists on the Valencian roads, while there will be a fifth jersey, for the best Valencian cyclist (sponsored by Comunitat de l’Esport), which will be awarded on the final podium in the Port of Valencia. The four jerseys that will be worn by the cyclists taking part in the VCV will be the yellow jersey (general classification), sponsored by Banco Sabadell; the red polka dots jersey (KOM), sponsored by Fundación Trinidad Alfonso; the white jersey (best young rider), sponsored by Engel & Völkers; and the orange jersey (points classification), sponsored by Tuawa.
