Segorbe was the starting point for the 2017 “Queen Stage” of the VCV, a stage that finished at the legendary Mas de la Costa . Nairo Quintana won that tough stage and went on to win the VCV overall. In 2024, the VCV passed through Segorbe twce during the same stage, which finished in Altura.

The cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous events taking place weekly at the Salvador Seguí Municipal Auditorium and the Serrano Theatre. Segorbe boasts eight museums and hosts several festivals, including the Jazz and World Music Festival, the Choral Festival, the International Plectrum Music Festival, and the Film Festival.

Several major official hiking trails, such as the GR-10, which is divided into several stages, cross the municipality of Segorbe. The city’s tourism website (turismo.segorbe.es) suggests numerous day trips and afternoon excursions. These include the Spring Route, the Farmhouse Route (with a mandatory stop at the ancient olive tree “Morruda”), the Lagoon Route, and another route that offers the option of climbing to “Pico del Águila” (Eagle’s Peak). This last route combines hiking and mountain biking.

Segorbe boasts two major culinary events: the Olla Segorbina Stew Festival and the Mushroom Fair. Since 2013, throughout January, Segorbe’s restaurants have featured Olla Segorbina, one of the city’s most iconic dishes. In November, the focus shifts to dishes showcasing seasonal mushrooms as the star ingredient.
